POSSIBILITY
At Technohome, we have the necessary production and technological capabilities to apply powder coating in a wide range of colors from the RAL palette to our aluminum architectural profiles. With our advanced equipment and facilities, we can efficiently and cost-effectively apply the desired paint color to the profiles. Prior to the powder coating process, the profiles are securely suspended and attached to a traverse using drilled holes. The powder is then applied automatically in a specialized chamber. It's worth noting that our processes are certified according to the Qualicoat system, ensuring that the coating quality meets the highest international standards.

Powder painting

Powder coating is a method of applying a thin and durable layer of coating onto a prepared surface. When it comes to aluminum, powder coating offers excellent protective and decorative properties. The process involves spraying a powdered coloring agent onto the surface, which is then polymerized to form a resilient coating.

Our paint shop features a state-of-the-art horizontal powder coating line equipped with automated equipment from renowned leaders in the aluminum and metal powder coating industry. The process involves applying a dry mixture of finely ground pigment and resin particles onto the metal surface. These particles are electrostatically charged and sprayed onto the aluminum profile, adhering to the surface until it enters the polymerization furnace. Upon heating, the powder melts and fuses together, forming a robust, long-lasting, and visually appealing coating.

Powder coating offers a superior finish compared to liquid paints, providing exceptional durability and quality. It boasts a wide range of operational benefits, including resistance to shock, abrasion, high temperatures (up to 400 degrees), extreme weather conditions, and fading from sunlight. With an extensive selection of colors and surface finishes, such as gloss, semi-gloss, shagreen, and various textured and special effects, powder paint offers versatility and aesthetic appeal.
The RAL scale provides a comprehensive range of color options for viewing and selection. Proper pretreatment plays a crucial role in enhancing coating adhesion and reducing surface corrosion. The effectiveness of pretreatment depends not only on the quality of chemicals and material base but also on a reliable system that controls temperature, flow rate, and process duration. Utilizing low-temperature cleaners and a diverse range of pretreatment options (20°-60°C) can minimize energy consumption, limit sludge formation, and reduce waste generated during the pretreatment process. Acid washing is typically employed as an initial step to eliminate oil, fat, and other pollutants that mechanical processing may not effectively remove.

Advantages of powder coating for aluminum profiles:
  • Improved coating quality with higher paint transfer efficiency
  • Reduction of powder paint waste by eliminating human error
  • Wide selection of colors from the RAL scale
  • Cost-effective solution
  • Thin and uniform layer that adheres firmly to the surface
  • Protection against mechanical damage and UV radiation
  • Excellent performance
  • Fast and environmentally friendly staining method with no solvents in the composition.

The chemical preparation process for aluminum surface includes:
  • Degreasing using specialized cleaning solutions
  • Thorough rinsing with clean water after all chemical operations
  • Etching in a caustic soda solution for a specified time and temperature
  • Surface treatment in a sulfuric acid solution for clarification
  • Final rinse with deionized water.

After chemical pretreatment, the aluminum profile is hung on hooks and conveyed to the powder spraying chambers. The powder is applied to the surface, checked for uniformity, and then cured in an oven for the required time. Once the powder has fully polymerized, the profile is cooled, inspected for quality, and prepared for packaging or further processing.
Color selection is made from the RAL catalog, which offers a wide range of standardized colors. The RAL collection includes thousands of colors, with the RAL CLASSIC containing over 200 commonly used colors. For professional color design, the RAL DESIGN palette is available, offering 1688 ordered colors.
